Mogiana is grain produced for many generations by the Moscardini family on farms near the town of Franca, close to the border with the state of Minas Gerais. In our roasting profile, coffee has low acidity and a high flavor balance. You will find the dominant notes of cocoa, milk chocolate and hazelnut in it. This coffee is especially recommended for automatic coffee machines and milk coffees.
Why did we choose them?
We wanted to introduce the classic beans from Brazil, in which our customers will be able to find a sensory profile typical of the Country of Coffee. Brazil Mogiana perfectly matched our expectations. It is a coffee characterized by almost no acidity, high sweetness and a clear body. The sensory profile includes mainly cocoa, but also notes of hazelnut and milk chocolate. Mogiana provides a long, elegant and chocolaty aftertaste.
How is it profiled? What do we especially recommend?
All coffees in our offer are roasted under pressure methods. At the same time, we try to make individual grains have different characteristics. We wanted Brazil Mogiana to be a Brazilian classic in our offer. That is why we have profiled it in such a way as to maximize the natural sweetness of the grain and reduce acidity. Our Brazil Mogiana will work well in a coffee machine, portafilter coffee machine, as well as in an automatic coffee machine. And although it is a great proposition as a base for coffee with milk, lovers of the little black coffee should also appreciate it.
Where does the grain come from?
The beans of the botanical variety Mundo Nuovo are grown in the state of Sao Paolo, where the coffee trees grow at an altitude of 800-1200 m above sea level. Mogiana comes from the name of the railway company that built the railway in 1883. It allowed for the expansion of coffee production in the region. The harvest takes place here between May and September. Our grains have undergone a natural treatment.
